Larry Taylor and the Soul Blues Healers are booked to play for male inmates and guards in the Cook County Jail Nov. 5, 2026. The show is being sponsored as a community service by the West Side nonprofit FOUR Blues Inc.NFP. Your donation to FOUR Blues can help bring them to 26th and California. Larry Taylor was himself an inmate in Cook County in the 1970s. He says, “Some people in the jail did horrible things and need to be behind the walls. Others got a bad break because of some injustice. I know how they all feel: like someone forgot them. So we will be there with them. We want our music to inspire them to improve their lives when they get out.”
